Representations
from Service Tax assessees indicate that all is not well with the present

delays, unethical practices, loss or non-accountal of filed Returns etc. resulting
in harassment of genuine tax payers.
While the obvious solution lies in encouraging the electronic filing of
Returns there is also clearly a need to set in place an arrangement that

(STRFC) shall be functional for the receipt of Service Tax Returns that are due
by
(i)

(iii) The Counter Officer shall after receipt of the Service Tax Returns hand over a Survey Form to the Return Filer with a request that it may be completed and placed in the earmarked Box.
